Scrapbook was compiled by the Committee's Executive Director, Eva Lou Martin, and presented to founding member and Chairman of the Board of Directors Charles S. Scott. It contains newspaper clippings, photographs, the 1972 and 1973 annual meeting programs and reports, and miscellaneous other papers.

The Coordinating Committee of the Black Community (CCBC) was founded in 1968 in Topeka, Kansas to "provide an organized means through which black people [could] speak out on all issues relating to minorities."
